A limited edition catalog printed on the 75th anniversary of the premier performance of Carnival of the Beautiful Dresses by George Antheil, a solo piece for piano. The catalog examines the correspondence between Stanley Marcus and George Antheil surrounding the commission and creation of Carnival of the Beautiful Dresses, in 1947.

An Eye for Elegance

An Eye for Elegance explores the life and legacy of Carrie Marcus Neiman, a child of German Jewish immigrants who, along with her brother Herbert Marcus and her husband A.L. Neiman, co-founded the iconic luxury specialty store Neiman Marcus in 1907. The exhibition traces Carrie’s life from the founding of “The Store” when she was a young woman, through the Texas boom years of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, to her election as Chairman of the Board in 1951, to her unexpected death in 1953.

An auction of prints by 30 photographers in support of VNA Meals on Wheels COVID-19 Response Fund. Special thanks to the photographers who contributed works and to the supporters who purchased prints. Together we were able to raise $28,000 that will help ensure that local communities will have what they need to continue to deliver a vital lifeline to our most vulnerable at-risk neighbors.
